     This is the final draft of my finished magazine product, HoopCulture, with the changes I detailed in Post-Production. The way I hope this magazine is received is a symbol of the unity established in people through basketball. Basketball has roots into every aspect of modern culture and aspects of everyone's lives can be found in this sport. The best thing about this magazine is that an exceptionally wide range of people can find a relation between basketball and their common interests through this magazine, whether it be fashion, giving back to community, or fighting for social justice.

     Regarding imagery, I was advised via peer constructive criticism to add brighter images and be more diverse with the images , because my pictures were based heavily around the Damian Lillard shoes that I photographed  using different angles and having photoshoots at different locales .   One easy fix that I was recommended was to simply take pictures of regular possessions that relate to basketball, so I used the best image that I had of the basketball.  To try to make images more creative,  I  looked at the availability to take pictures of youth league players in a Suncoast league, but by this time  their season was coming to an end and the team I planned to use for pictures was not invited to any postseason events.   In regard to  how the imagery works with everything else in the magazine, in  my feature article there were imbalances in the amounts of text and the  amount  of pictures in my article, so I will a...

     Up to this point, I have made all the minor changes recommended to me by my peers, ones that did not involve changing the imagery of the finished product. In order to make this look better for my target audience, which is generally younger sports fans, I toned down the  amount of vibrant color to not make the magazine seem so extreme. I added variation in fonts used in the magazine as well as changing some texts to more neutral colors like white and gray, while keeping some red in the magazine to keep the theme of the two players  I focused on, since both their team color schemes involved a lot of black and red. I  italicized  subheadings in the product like I was recommended to do by my peers, as well as using different color texts  to differentiate between the side articles  instead of bullet points.      The key takeaways from my presentation of my portfolio were firstly that I  have to  limit the amount of red, by making some article text silver and doing the same on the cover. I was also told that I should ital icize the subheading and use multiple fonts, and I should get rid of the bullet points and find another way to differentiate between text entities. I  should use more of the open space and use borders on the images to blend them better with the text . I was also told to not cutoff the shoes in the image on page 3 and remove the glare, and to make the title larger on the cover. The pic ture I chose for the cover page was good but I should make the masthead  larger  so the title is clear. I am supposed to balance text and images in my feature which I will do.  A final note that I was given was to clean the shoes and add an editor’s note that the cover athlete was traded after the project was finished.  In my opinion, I think ...

  I am confident that this product will find my target audience well, and it will be well-received in terms of interpretation. The imagery is representative of the impact these players have on their communities, building courts to draw city kids away from crime, giving back to their communities even if they are only starting out in the community, and voicing their beliefs on and off the court.
